We frequently dine at Sauter's Inn when we are in town. It's a charming little German restaurant in Pickering Village. It has a warm and cozy atmosphere and truly feels like stepping into a small town in Germany. The menu has a fantastic selection of traditional dishes, and everything was made with authentic ingredients. This place is a gem and should be experienced. It is a refreshing change of the norm.
Came for lunch and ordered the schnitzel. Service was friendly and attentive. Would definitely come back. Price point was fair and food portion size was good for lunch menu. It was not busy at all but came on a Tuesday afternoon. Decor a bit dated but it had a nice European feel about it.
I'm a return customer. Great place for a special or regular night out. Tasty well cooked dishes. Large portions. Authentic. Reasonable prices.
My first time eating at the Sauter's Inn was a great experience. We made reservations which was just a precaution to ensure we would get a table. No waiting.. worked out perfectly, lots of options on the menu, prices are fair for the large portions they serve. All dishes are made fresh to order so worth the wait. Excellent service!
Great place to get authentic schnitzel. Hacker-Pschorr on tap = next level dining experience. Michelle (Betty) was an exceptional server - friendly, quick, and hospitable!
3 visits to this place. It can be busy, but I usually go when it's quiet. The atmosphere is very European with the right amount of age, and the menu is perfect. Not as big a selection as Metro Restaurant in Kitchener, but still has all the right touches. Food is delicious and well prepared, and they do have 'specials' to attract return customers. Prices are still 'reasonable' compared to major chains, but continue to rise like everywhere else.
Great place in the village. Enjoyed warm French coffee noon soup with garlic bread on a chilly winters day.
Experienced the different flavors of our local city. I enjoyed it a lot but less spices than many other ethnicities lol
